What the hell is a campsite showdown?  We will be conducting a little competition to see which group has the most FKF devotion.  This year we will have groups sign up and compete in 7 categories. The categories are as follows:

  • Best decorated campsite
  • Most popular campsite (friendliest)
  • Largest “tribe”
  • Most elaborate drinking mechanism
  • Best group designed flags
  • Best group chant
  • Fastest beer chug

We will walk around throughout the weekend and judge these categories announcing a winner Saturday night.  The categories will be based on a 1 – 5 scale with five being the greatest thing we’ve seen in 10 years and one being the most unoriginal shit ever.

Best Decorated Campsite
Go crazy and theme it up!  We want to feel like we just walked onto the beaches of Maui when we visit your campsite.

Most popular campsite (friendliest)
The best part of FKF has always been meeting new people who share that same desire to have a great time on the river as you do.  We’ll be conducting random surveys to find out which campsite has been the most courteous to passer by’s and which one gets a lump of coal.

Largest “Tribe”
You’re already bringing your friends, right?  So group up together and declare yourselves as a wolfpack of one, we mean many.

Most elaborate drinking mechanism
Yea, we’ve seen the beer bong but can you make it better?

Best group designed flags
Name you campsite, draw pictures, use your imagination.

Best group chant
This is where it pays to still be friends with that high school cheerleader ;)

Fastest beer chug
Each campsite will nominate their lone competitor in this one.  The chug will be announced at the time of the event as well as the method, ie: can, glass, beer bong.  You’re top five finishers earn points.

Once again we are nearly sold out for both AM and PM Saturday FKF floats.  Remember this year we are also having a Friday 11AM float so you can enjoy the pool party on Saturday at noon which will be followed by bands starting around 1pm.  Due to overwhelming ticket sales (almost sold out already) we are considering a Sunday AM float for the late arrivals who will not get to to purchase Saturday float tickets.  We have new space at Falcon Floats to camp but this space is also running out fast and we will have an “overflow” camp ground at Riverville Lodge just a few miles up the road.  If you are camping at Riverville we will have a shuttle running free of charge so you can enjoy the bands, drink and not drive!  If you don’t feel like cooking we will have Frock Wurst cooking and selling their very own special bratwurst on site.

Remember on the river:  NO Glass, NO Styrofoam, NO alcohol over 3.2, and NO loud cussing.  You can get ticketed and or jailed for these offenses.  For additional questions please check out our Frequently Asked Questions

Bring your coconut bra, your sunscreen and beer and we will see you soon!
